Three groups cause most of the errors. Kolkata is the headquarters of three separate entities — Eastern Railway, South Eastern Railway and Metro Railway — and papers exploit that. Two categories of railway superlative are worth treating as current affairs rather than static general knowledge: the longest platform and the longest tunnel. Both titles have moved in recent years as new construction has been completed, and older study material still carries the previous answers. Check these against a recent source before an examination.
